Industrial Safety Training Visit to Porocel India Pvt. Ltd.

Acute Institute of Fire & Safety Kolhapur branch students visited Porocel India Pvt. Ltd. Porocel india is manufacturer of marbles from clay used for purpose in industries for distillation and refining process.

Purpose of visit:
A. To understand on site work as safety auditor.
B. To understand safety carried out during production and use of PPE at various department.
C. Understand documentation done at work site.
D. Housekeeping at workplace.

Safety auditor Mr. Shivanand Kumbhar guide us & showed us entire manufacturing process as well as safety taken by the staff of the company. They also explained us about,

1. Emergency exit plan
2. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like helmet and face mask and safety glass
3. Dust suppression system is in installation process
4. Guarding from unauthorized person entry
5. Safety bulletin
6. Checklists
7. Gas monitoring system
8. QA and QC lab work safety
9. MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) – It contains info on use storage and emergency procedure all related to hazards of material.
